Director of the Year Requirements for Maintenance, Operations, & Energy Manager

Eligibility:
Members must be currently employed by public school district.
Criteria:
- Application for each award to be completed by interested members of G.C.M. & O. A.
- Resume
- Certification by T.A.S.B.O. (or 50% complete)
- Letter of Recommendation by the applicant’s superintendent of schools
- All documentation must be submitted no later that December 1 of each year.
Selection:
- The selection committee will consist of the elected officers, one member at large, and one vendor.
- The member and vendor will be selected to serve on the committee by the association’s president.
- Selection will be by simple majority vote of the selection committee.
- Selection will be complete by February 1 of each year.
Award:
The award will consist of an engraved plaque (approximately 10” x 16”)
To be presented to the recipient at a regular meeting of the recipient’s school board by the association’s president in March, April, or May.
Exclusions:
- Members currently holding elected office in the association are not eligible.
- Members serving on the selection committee are not eligible.
- Vendors are not eligible.
